Aspartame
Description:
aspartame is a nutritive, intense sweetener and flavour enhancer with a taste close to sugar. it has a sweetness approximately 200 times that of sucrose.it is a white, odourless, crystalline powder or granular, having a clean sweet taste.
Appplication:
(1) it is very safe and is classified as gras class ( generally, it is publicly regarded as being safe) by joint expert committee on food additives of the u.n. it is the product which has studied body safety the most thoroughly among all sweeteners. it has been successfully used in more than 6000 kinds of products in more than 100 counties all over the world for 19 years until now.
(2) it has pure sweet taste and a kind of fresh sweet taste which is extremely similar to that of sucrose. it has no bitter after-taste or metallic taste and is the sweetener successfully developed with the sweet taste which is like sucrose the most by far.aspartame is 200 times sweeter than sucrose and can reach the desired sweetness only with a small amount in use. so we can use aspartame to replace sucrose in food and drinks, which can reduce calories apparently and won't cause decayed tooth.
(3) using together with other sweeteners can produce strong synergy effect. for example, adding 2%~3% of it to saccharin can apparently conceal the bad taste of saccharin.
(4) mixing with essence may bring excellent synergy. it can particularly keep the fragrance lasting and reduce the use of aromatics, such as tangerine, lemon and pomelo, etc..
(5) the protein composition can be absorbed and broken down by human bodies.
